On Sunday, the most important man in the world stopped whatever he was doing to #bringbackourgirls to talk about a gay man because he was gay and famous for promoting his proclivities for homosexuality across the length and breadth of the entire known universe.
And the media has been banging on about Michael Sam almost exclusively ever since.
So let’s look at what President Obama said.
And, just because we are a diverse bunch of people, let’s do things differently.
Let’s start first by looking at what Obama said last.
“…Americans prove everyday that you should be judged by what you do and not who you are.”
What can we glean from this?
Well, President Obama said something logical. Cue wild but surprised applause.
Americans should be judged by what they do and not by who they are. I think everyone is in violent agreement with the sentiments that the Coolest Man on the Planet has deigned in his wisdom to pass on to the rest of us. Even us non-Americans.
Now, let’s examine the goodies contained in what Obama said first.
“The President congratulates Michael Sam, the Rams and the NFL for taking an important step forward in our Nation’s journey. From the playing field to the corporate boardroom, LGBT Americans…”
This is all about Michael Sam, who is homosexual. And it’s about homosexuals on the playing field. And homosexuals in the boardroom. And in their bedroom as well. It’s about LGBT Americans. And the requirement for the rest of the nation to step forward and worship them again. Not because of what they do, but because of who they do.
It’s probably about three weeks since this last happened, so I guess it was about due.
This statement was just one big promotion of gay. From the American President, no less.
Finally, let’s examine the context of Obama’s oft-commented statement.
Was Michael Sam the subject of a presidential statement because he was considered to be the best NFL draftee?
No.
That was some no-name guy that no one’s heard about. My rainbow Mozilla Firefox browser has been strangely quiet about his achievement. This, I assume, is primarily because the media hasn’t been blaring umpteen gazillion updates at me about how President Obama jumped out of a crisis meeting on Sudan’s decision to hang an eight-month pregnant Christian convert to tweet about how we all should respect the number one draft pick for what he’s done and not who he is.
Was Michael Sam the second dude drafted?
No.
Was he the third?
No.
Ok. Let’s take a wild guess. Was he the 248th guy picked?
Well, the answer to that is also no.
Michael Sam was the 249th player drafted. That means he was 7th last on the list. Of course, that’s more than I could ever muster, but it’s no real reason for the President of the United States of America to specifically single Michael Sam out for comment either.
And what do we get when we piece together a logical statement about respecting people on their merits, a presidential embrace of all things gay and the specific singling out of some bloke who came 7th last in the draft because of his homosexuality?
Well, a steaming pile of lies, imbecilic commentary and a wild rush to cower under the rainbow by every homophobic moron too afraid of the LGBT backlash to question the fawning hypocrisy of the President of the United States.
That’s what we get.
Obama didn’t stoop before Michael Sam because of what he’s done. Obama only prostrate the nation before him because Michael Sam thinks sodomy is a healthy hobby. And Obama certainly didn’t give two hoots for any of the other 255 players drafted, precisely because they don’t spoon other guys on the couch while watching You’ve Got Mail and then demanding slave-like deference from the rest of society for doing so.
And this means that the man with the power in the US has sent a very clear message.
Whether it’s on the playing field or in the corporate boardroom, the LGBT bedroom has been thrust upon Americans by the man in charge of its state apparatus. This bedroom is now the US government’s business and it will make sure everyone gives adulation to those who lie therein.
The rest of society, however, needs to actually do something to gain respect. No resting on laurels of heterosexuality. And even if you do something like become a well-repected tech guru, you’d still better watch out.
That’s the state of play in the United States.

Good writing style! It held my attention until the very end. Yes, homophobia does exist. I am trying to overcome it. “Homophobia” – now just silly name-calling – was once defined as an aversion to homosexuality and homosexuals. But the definition is changing with time. “Homophobia” could, these days, be re-defined as fear of being branded “homophobic”.
