The litany of stupidity

As police officers were carrying out the largest anti-terror raids in Australia’s history yesterday, I went out on a limb and made a really bold prediction: the next 24 hours would see all sorts of people in high places fall over themselves to absolve Islam of all responsibility.

Actually, it wasn’t that bold at all. Blind Freddy could see it coming. In fact, this woeful prayer to Islam has been underway for quite some time.

Exactly one month before the arrest of Muslims for planning to behead random Australians at the behest of the Islamic State, the bleeding-heart Christian churches launched an expensive and well-advertised campaign called “We’ll love Muslims for 100 years”. And it says:

“We believe people of Muslim faith are being unfairly smeared in the eyes of the Australian public by both subtle and overt links to violent extremism in political and media discourse.”

It really was a case of great timing.

Unfortunately, I am not sure these churches have done anything so spectacular to help actual Christians in Iraq that are unfairly and not-too-subtly losing their homes and heads at the hands of devout Muslims.

Just as an aside, Christianity involves loving everyone, all the time. Not just for 100 years. But this does not mean loving their actions and beliefs as well. They can quite rightly be condemned. And true love requires this, so the person can move onwards and upwards from destructive behaviour.

Perhaps if the ‘Christian’ churches knew their own faith, they might not be such great apologists for other people’s violent ideologies.

The good news is that even with names like Ma’en Abdulla (Director of AussieMuslims.NET), Faizel Jassat and Mahomed Ismail (Proud Australian Muslim) the petition launched by these churches has reached just over 2,100 signatures.

In contrast, a petition I launched two weeks later and without the same expensive fanfare has attracted almost the same level of support. So imagine what useful things these ‘churches’ could do if they actually put their resources into worthwhile causes: like calling for the scrapping of anti-discrimination laws that are being used to protect the right of homosexuals to expose themselves to children at ‘gay pride’ parades. For those unaware, I am now facing fines of $100,000 because the NSW Anti-Discrimination Board believes that I vilified homosexuals by describing people who do this as perverts. You can read about it here.

Support legal action $650

But back to the litany of stupidity. And here it is:

George Brandis (Federal Attorney-General) speaking about the terror raids:

“The suggestion that mainstream Islam is anything other than a religion of peace is arrant nonsense,” he said.

“Islam is one of the world’s great religions.”

Tony Abbott (Prime Minister) – speaking about Cory Bernardi’s advice to do something useful to improve security and ban the burqa:

“This is not about people’s religion, it’s not about what people wear,” he told reporters in the Northern Territory.

“It’s about potential terror attacks here in Australia and that’s what we’ve got to guard against.”

Bill Shorten (Opposition Leader) – also speaking about Cory Bernardi’s advice to do something useful to improve security and ban the burqa:

Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has described Senator Bernardi as a “rogue” and his comments as “stupid”.

“Why on Earth is this out-of-touch, out-of-line senator on a rampage with his ignorant and stupid comments?” Mr Shorten said.

“This senator’s comments should have no part to play in public life, fuelling fear and suspicion as opposed to tolerance and understanding.”

George Brandis (again) (Federal Attorney-General) – also speaking about Cory Bernardi’s advice to do something useful to improve security and ban the burqa:

Attorney-General George Brandis, who has been meeting with Muslim leaders in recent months, backed the Prime Minister’s view.

“All of us as Australians are potentially victims of these wicked people, but the Muslim community in particular is exposed,” Senator Brandis said.

“Therefore, the steps that we are taking and the legislation we are preparing in consultation with that community in particular, is designed to protect them, to protect them and their interests and their communities.”

Ali Kadri (Spokesman for Holland Park and Logan Islamic communities) – announcing ‘Open Mosque’ day in response to the terror raids:

“And the problem is not because of Islam, it is because of geopolitics and the international relations of current times.”

Campbell Newman (Queensland Premier) – responding to the announcement of ‘Open Mosque’ day:

“I would encourage Queenslanders who love our democracy, who love our multicultural community to actually turn up as a gesture of good faith,” Mr Newman said.

“As a gesture of fellowship to show the people in that community that all Queenslanders on the whole, are right behind them 100 per cent and understand exactly the difficult issue that confronts us all.

“So that’s probably the way that I’d put it, that Queenslanders other than Muslims should turn up and go to these mosques as they’re opened up to see firsthand, but more importantly, to actually demonstrate solidarity with them.”

Of course, all this comes just after the Greens Senator, Peter Whish-Wilson even went so far as to suggest earlier this month that the terrorists weren’t Islamic State jihadis, but our own military. And just a few days ago, Clive Palmer, the billionaire who doesn’t stand down to anyone stood down to Muslim community leader, Keysar Trad. Because Mr Trad said Muslims wouldn’t vote for his party. All 2 per cent of them. So Palmer backed away from Senator Jacqui Lambie’s comments that those who support Sharia Law should pack their bags and leave.

In the midst of all this madness, Royal Australian Air Force personnel were farewelled yesterday for their mission fighting overseas. Against the Islamic State. Islamic being the key word. Meanwhile, back in Sydney, Muslims were protesting against the terror raids and claiming that they were an attack on Islam.

Presumably, the Islamic State has vague notions of establishing some kind of nation run on Islamic law. I imagine if that was not their goal, they would have called themselves something else. Like the Bunny Rabbit and Flowers Nation.

And presumably, if we are sending our military overseas to bomb them it’s because we have some kind of a problem with the Islamic State and its ideas. After all, yesterday’s commotion was because the Islamic State was directing its boys in Sydney to take bloody action.

But if you go off the statements of the people running the joint, Islam is not the problem and we should all go and spend some time praying at the local mosque. So don’t hold your breath expecting victory against Islamic violence any time soon. Our leaders are actually promoting this religion, even while it takes action to destroy us.

  1. One would think that with Emmanuel Macron’s threat to partition France the rest of
the world would get wise. His cause? He claims it must be done to appease the
Muslim Brotherhood. You do not appease pigs.

  2. Islam, the peaceful religion, a piece of you, a piece of me and pieces for them. A head here and body parts there, this is the reality we face right now. John Howard dis-armed us because some idiots with guns shot some people, the anti-discrimination board won’t tolerate people who ‘tell the truth’ as it might offend someone, what a load of BS, people choose to be offended, no-one can offend another person. The sad reality is, these ‘bloody do-gooders’, do not realise there is no place for them in Islam. They have not read the Koran and do not know that their heads are going to roll with the rest of us. Homosexuals are not permitted to live under Islam, (argue that when the blade draws near your necks), all these ‘green and civil rights’ people don’t fit the Islam agenda either. The worse part of Islam is the Koran tells them to lie, openly lie, to cover up and deceive the people so they will not know their true agenda. This is a fact, it’s written in the book, so, this cannot be called ‘vilification’. Too bad homosexuals, you won’t be able to ask us ‘Christians’ for help, we’ll all be ‘headless’ while our politicians, beaming with pride at the ‘multi-cultural Islamic BBQ of halal hamburgers and coke look on at the new ‘sport’ they’ve just introduced, not realising, their heads will be next. From sounds of it, our armed forces will also be Islamic, fair go or what, arm the bloody terrorists up and let them loose on the population, I thank God that when my head rolls, singing Hallelujah, I’m going home to my King, as for all the ‘Islamic supporters’, your welcome to sharia law and all it has to offer, I WILL NEVER, EVER BOW TO A FALSE god, EVER. LONG LIVE JESUS CHRIST, MY KING

  3. Bernard,
Could you include links to the Christian organisation/s that you mention. I’d love to share some thoughts with them.

  4. Unless the world does something, the prophecy in the Book of Revelations will indeed be fulfilled. Islam is the beast of revelation, It is a religious empire that sits on 7 mountains which were the Egyptian, Babylonian, Assyrian, Medo-Persian, Greek, Roman and Ottoman empires. It has 10 horns (Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Sudan, Lebanon, Palestine (soon to be created) . It is drank with the blood of saints, martyrs and witnesses of Christ (proof in the pudding for over 1,500 years butchering Christians). It has a “little horn” called ISIS that will soon overcome three of the 10 horns (it now occupies parts of Iraq and Syria, Jordan or Lebanon could be next). It sits on many waters which the angel alluded to as many people, nations and languages. Islam (at 1.6 billion believers and growing to have parity with 2.3 billion Catholics) is in every country (same with Christians, but that is just one quality of the beast). It will war with many nations (need I say more about the conflicts raging in every country with a strong muslim population?) It is the AntiChrist, defined by St. John as denying the Father and the Son, explicitly indicated in the Quran. It requires you to put on the mark of the beast ( don’t you’d know a Muslim by how he looks and what he puts on his forehead, the bismallah sign in Arabic?) without which you can buy or sell? Just imagine how it will be when every nation bows to Islam, no one will be allowed to engage in commerce unless you’re a muslim. And if you refuse the mark, (converted to islam) you will be hunted down and killed. At the rate nations refuse to stop the spread of Islam because it is said to be a religion of peace, give or take another 50-70 years, and you will have the your first Islamic heads of state in the US, Australia, and the EU.

    • Its the book of Revelation (not Revelations, its not plural). Getting this small detail wrong makes me wonder what else you’ve gotten wrong in your interpretation.

      • Only one revelation inb those 22 chapters??

    • Australia is at the crossroads, we have been given a chance by seeing the basket case Islam has made of Europe. The path our leaders take now will determine if Australia has a worthwhile future. This is Australia’s chance to set an example for the rest of the world and show we are a strong Christian nation. A campaign of social engineering needs to begin , discouraging Islam and promoting Christianity[definately not building Mosques].I believe the Islamic problem in the west is simply a symptom caused by ungodliness, and ungodly people make very poor desisions.

  5. The most culpable, irrasponsible trash I have ever heard, these so called churches and politicians are on drugs. One would be very suprised if they dug down and discovered who really was behind ISIS, 9/11, ECT ,I for one and others would not be suprised in the least. The lies are becoming more blatant and outragious these past few years and society is being pushed more and more into a false reality. Hitler toyed with the idea of islamasizing Germany and I will say, with the weaponery and technology we have today any idea to Islamize the world would end in the total destruction of the human race.Put simply,we would blow ourselves and the world to pieces for not being,’ Islamic enough’.

  6. Abbott has been on the ‘terrorism has nothing to do with Islam’ bandwagon since long before becoming PM. For reasons different from the Greens I find that term offensive as it focusses on the reaction intended to be forced onto western people and so it empowers the people so-called. At the same time it cloaks them and prevents them from being recognised. Jihadists is what they are and should be named as such but Abbott will not do that as he cannot says “Jihad has nothing to do with Islam”.

The latest story to emerge is that there may have been ‘chatter’ about targeting Abbott as well as Joe Public. At least then there would be no more lies across his lips about his beheading having nothing to do with Islam.

Muslims, they are just doing what their (Un)holy Books tell them to do. Leftists and Labor are doing what one would expect from them. The greatest disappointment and betrayal emanates from governing so-called conservative parties i.e. Republicans in the US with GWB’s declaration that Islam is a Religion of Peace on 9/12, Cameron in the UK after Lee Rigby’s beheading, plus his conservative rival Boris Johnson, and now Abbott in Australia.

  7. If ‘terrorism’ has nothing to do with ‘islam’, it must follow that Russia & Ukraine have nothing to do with Putin (or vice-versa) – then why the trade embargo?
‘islam’ has everything to do with ‘terrorism’ as that is its main tenant of belief.
The Russian trade sanctions are just a ruse to deflect attention of the actual socialist (whether it be communistic or islamic) take over of what was once known as the ‘Western Nations’.

  8. Agree 100% – Our leaders do need to exercise some “Tayqiya” on this – Consider repercussions – trade bans , uncontrolled internal strife, all sorts of international sanctions and also mindful there are 200million islamists living immediately to our north …. Are we Ready to meet the challenge of a straight out declaration on islamic barbaric ideology!?!

  9. The biggest danger to Australia are the deluded fawners and appeasers in our churches and government who refuse to believe the plain but inconvenient truth. Could this be what Paul is warning about in 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12?

” and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness”.
