Australia has woken to the devastating news that two hostages died in the Lindt Café last night. Like all Australians, my thoughts and prayers are with the families of those now grieving.
But I am not going to join in with the mob in perpetuating the myths that are already being circulated as a result of this completely preventable tragedy. And it was completely preventable. It was the entirely predictable outcome of the decision to allow a violent culture with a superiority complex and an itchy trigger finger to take root in Australia.
So expect to see more Islamic flags and more grieving families. This war has only just started and it’s not going well.
And here are five things the mainstream media is spinning wrong about the Islamic addition to Christmas festivities in Australia over the last 24 hours.
1. We couldn’t see this coming
Apparently, we could never see this coming. This was an attack we thought we could never see in Sydney. That’s what the Premier of New South Wales, Mike Baird, said this morning.
Hello! Mike! Is there anyone home?
Australians aren’t goldfish. We can remember things for more than three seconds. Like, for instance, the fact that 800 police descended upon Sydney just a few weeks ago to prevent some peaceful follower of the religion of peace from peacefully severing some random Aussie’s head. In Martin Place. Right where the Lindt Café stands.
Anyone who couldn’t see this coming has had their head in the sand and their backside pointed skywards, almost as if they have already embraced Islam.
I’m guessing, however, that most people would not have expected the news that the deranged gunman was actually on bail. For a multitude of sexual offences and in relation to his wife’s murder (she was peacefully set on fire). Or that this bloke had a habit of sending abusive letters to the families of Australian soldiers who died in Afghanistan.
Who needs to worry about the Islamic threat when our own legal system holds the safety of Australians in such contempt that it would let this guy run free?
But I can think of no better advertisement for the actual truth of Islam than the fact that a murderous sexual deviant would stroll into the heart of Sydney for his last stand under the most famous words of Mohammed.
2. Don’t worry – it’s just a lone wolf
Don’t worry Australia. Mr Ali Akbar is a lone wolf. This is a one off.
Just like the one-off lone wolf who stabbed two police officers in Victoria in the name of Allah earlier this year.
Just like the one-off lone wolf who shot a Canadian soldier and then stormed that nation’s parliament in the name of Allah a few weeks ago.
Just like the one-off lone wolf who went on a rampage at Ford Hood in the United States killing 13 soldiers in the name of Allah a while back.
Just like the…by now you should be getting the picture. I could go on all day talking about the lone wolves out there who all seem to operate in disciplined unison.
There is an army of ‘lone’ wolves. That makes the ‘lone’ part redundant. And the guy responsible for the death of two Australians in Sydney yesterday wasn’t all that alone anyway. He had over 14,000 followers on Facebook. So expect this to happen all over again.
Because the one thing that these people all have in common is an ability to read the Koran, and a commitment to following its bloody message.
3. Don’t worry – it’s not the Islamic State
Keysar Trad was on Sunrise this morning waxing lyrical about how this was not the work of the Islamic State. And Kochie was nodding along with him. I didn’t know these two men were spokesmen for the nation that is not a nation that we are at war with.
But anyway, apparently this means we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
I don’t really know why I should have to point this out, but if the Lindt Café siege had nothing to do with the Islamic State then it only proves that it is not just the Islamic State that we should be worried about.
It is proof that it’s not the design of the flag that’s the problem, but the words that are on them. And those flags all carry the same Islamic words and have the same Islamic meaning: total global domination.
The simple fact is that the Sunni-Shia Islamic split is nothing more than an argument over who gets Mohammad’s loot. They still haven’t worked it out 1,400 years later, but they pretty much agree on everything else of importance: the non-Islamic world are a bunch of heathen scum who should be subjugated, raped and pillaged.
The flag in the Lindt Café overshadowed the ‘Merry Christmas’ for a reason. It was an arrogant message of contempt and it signified a murderous intent to enslave us all.
4. Islamic leaders have condemned this violence
Apparently Australia’s Grand Mufti has condemned the Lindt Café siege.
And with that, the media went running on their way to talk about how Muslims fear for their lives, living in such a racist country like Australia.
But the truth is that Grand Mufti Ibrahim Abu Mohamed has a lot of hide to issue such a statement. This is the same man that sent a statement to the Federal Senate in October claiming that new anti-terror laws inhibited his religious freedom.
You read that right. Nothing further needs to be said. The Grand Mufti’s statement says it all: it is an open admission that Islam promotes terrorism.
The real question is this: why has the media barely reported this at all?
5. The Islamic Community suffers from this
The last 24 hours are wreaking a terrible toll on the Islamic community, if you believe the media.
Give me a break.
This is the ultimate good cop/bad cop routine.
Some dude walks into a café and kills two people. In return, the Islamic apologists are given huge air time. The Premier of New South Wales convenes video conferences with the bloke who claims new anti-terror laws impinge religious freedom and interfaith prayer services are held at mosques around the nation. Politicians are jumping over themselves to promote Islam. And it’s all because, under the Islamic flag, two Australians were gunned down.
Like I said, give me a break.
And, of course, the social media numpties have gone nuts. #illridewithyou has taken off. It is, of course, a completely empty gesture designed only to reinforce the arrogant feelings of moral superiority held by those who promote tolerance at the expense of our nation’s safety. And nothing shows the vacuous nature of the moral do-gooders than the fact that they don’t do any good at all. They just ‘Twitter’ good, like gods from on high. Apparently, that is even better than actually doing anything at all.
If you support the idea of Islamic rule and Sharia law, the last 24 hours have shown that murdering two Australians is pretty much all it takes to get everyone who is anyone to show deference and submission. It’s not exactly a great deterrence.
So expect more violence to come.

“Couldn’t see it coming” Har, har f@#ing har de har.
Billy the blind man who has never seen in his life could see that it was coming, and that it still is. However I would suggest the next time it may be a little more lethal, better organised and a whole lot more catastrophic consequences.
FFS, dont people realise there are already dozens of muslims in Jail (oops Knights from the Dark side, or maybe buddhists, catholics anything but muslims) for planning to carry out more vicious and wider ranging attacks. Just imagine if our Counter Terrorism Officers had not uncovered these plots………………….. Look I know a lot of Australians have gone to sleep, but going to sleep at the wheel?????.
Something else to ponder, I have often heard ( Idon’t know how correct it is, or even if it is correct, but you will get my drift), that 80% of Muslims are law abiding (yes?…who’s’) and peace loving. Okay given that there are over a billion Muslims in the world, does that mean that the 200,000, yes, two hundred thousand others aren’t a spectacular threat.
There is alleged to be somewhere around 3 or four hundred thousand Muslims in Australia, not being a rocket Scientist, doesn’t that figure (assuming it is correct, hell even if it is 95% of peace loving) still leave us with with thousands upon thousands who aren’t peace loving
People need to start getting real about this, and a good start would be for the so called Peace loving Muslims (who may well be the only ones who can) start co-operating with CTO’s to weed the bad ones out. Yes I know…….the Easter Bunny is real too!!!!

I am overwhelmed with gratitude – finally a commentator who speaks the truth without fear, and describes the current state of Australian society with candour and clarity. If all true Australians (those who love our country and our freedoms and the law abiding ancestors who made this possible), then the current plight of corruption, caused by fringe radicals and political correctness, would soon be solved. Democracy is about rule by the will of the majority of citizens, so how come the 60,000 Muslims are receiving so much deferential treatment? If you don’t love Australia and abide by its laws, then you are welcome to go back to your country of origin. I am sure most of us would be pleased to donate the cost of your relocation.

Great comment Bruce! You speak on behalf of the majority of Australians mate. Cheers!

Did you know the person that started the #illridewithyou refers to herself as a ‘WoC’ (Woman of Colour) and has expressed her dislike of white people online?
http://silence-without.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/the-long-campaign-against-racism-bogged.html
Part of what she says is:
“As a WoC I feel cheap.
Not worth as much to you, white person, as your fellow white people.
I’m learning about hate because I am coming to hate you, white person. You have all the control, all the power, all the privilege, and there is nothing holding you accountable. I hate the double standards and hypocrisy you display, the rank dishonesty of your conduct. I hate that you can harm us, when we cannot harm you. I hate that you have actually impacted on careers, multiple and not even directly, with your hypocrisy. I hate that you’re so dominant in the publishing industry there’s very few venues I’d consider safe to even submit to now. I hate what you have done to PoC I don’t know. I hate what you have done to PoC I do know. I hate what you have done to me, and I was not involved.”

During the Vietnam War, I was a police officer near a large Air Force base that was training Aussie air men to fly the F4C Phantom jets. The ones I had contact with were strongly individualist, and I respected them as patriots to their country, and as men who valued freedom. Imagine my surprise when these same breed of individuals I knew then, stood for their politicians to disarm them and allow them to become easy victims to criminals that will ignore any law. There is a reason these people are criminals or terrorist. They have no morals, no compassion and no conscience. This is a case in point as to what happens when the citizens of a nation are rendered defenseless in the face of an armed idiotic criminal, or a radical cultist that claims they are religious. When this situation started, one armed and level headed person could have stopped it then. Instead, innocent people were killed, and the attack was stopped by, you guessed it, guns. As a retired law enforcement officer, and thanks to George W Bush, after 9/11, I am eligible to carry a concealed weapon in any state in the USA. I will promise that in a like situation, the terrorist could not have watched everyone all the time, and I would have killed him with out the loss of innocent lives. It might be time that Australia rethinks its knee jerk anti gun law that was passed. From reports I get, Australian violent crimes have gone up since it was enacted, and the politicians answer was to pass stricter laws, while the USA has expanded its concealed carry permits, and in every place this has been enacted violent crimes have gone down. I’m sure that you in Australia have heard of the mass shootings in The US. If you will check, with only two exceptions all of them were perpetrated in gun free zones. An armed society is a polite society. You can not have over four hundred fifty men working in a high stress job without there being some friction. At times there were fist fights, but everyone was packing a gun 24/7, and no one every even thought of drawing down on another officer. Also, less than one half of one percent of conceaked carry permit holders have any trouble with the law, and less than one hundredth of one percent of those problems involve gun laws, and even less involve illegal use of a gun. The ones that get into trouble are for things like inadvertently crossing into an anti gun state carrying a weapon without realizing it is a state with gun phobia issues.

I noticed the Catholic Archbishop of Sydney suddenly lost is voice and stayed hidden as well as the Ashfield Catholic Girls School and their alleged Religious Teacher Miss Moody who got them all to tape their mouth and protest against Asylum Seekers before checked before they enter this Country. They should have gone down and put on the kneeling act when one of their favoured sons were holding innocent people hostage. Why is the gunmans girlfriend on bail and who paid the bail money. This person was not acting alone. Did someone intervene to prevent him from being deported. Was the house he was living in at Bexley public housing or paid for by one of the Churches. We need to see how the Sisters of Charity are getting the money to put so many Asylum Seekers in transition housing then permanent housing when there are Australians lying in the street. Free private school education for Asylum Seeker children comes at the cost of the Aussie taxpayer. Rogerson out of gaol could have got this hostage situation to a better ending as the Churches all rang for cover.

Where are these groups (I just made the names up, maybe they
already exist), and if they DO exist, why can’t we hear them speaking out
LOUDLY against this:
– Muslims against Islamic extremists
– Islamic peoples against ISIL (where are the people flocking to fight AGAINST ISIL and Islamic extremism instead of FOR it?)
– United Nations – Muslim legion (send them into Islamic countries in strife instead of Western armies)
– 21st century Muslims
– Muslim friends of Christians/Jews/Hindus/Buddhists
– Muslims against blowing innocent people up
– Not in the name of Islam!
– Where are the Islamic leaders across the world imploring their flock to stop killing?
– Where are all of these peace loving Muslims we keep hearing about. Why aren’t we seeing them marching in the streets in protest against crimes done in their name? (in both Western and Middle Eastern countries)
– Where are all the phone calls to authorities informing them of known extremists and terrorists who live shielded within the Islamic community?
– Where are the headlines in (insert any middle eastern country) that say “Another horrific
act of murder by another misguided Islamic fanatic”.
Where is the action???? Or is it just “missing in action”????

A terrorist among us – Yikes!
A nutter? – an insane attack?
His page had 14,000 likes;
Lone wolf? – Or leader of a pack.
December 17, 2014
I agree with Aldo, it would have been an easy matter to take out the gunman and for no innocent victims to have lost their lives. Regrettably this is where our nation has come to. It’s more politically correct to allow a known psychopathic criminal with a crazed agenda, representing an ideology more overtly evil than Nazism, wielding a shotgun, to threaten and terrorise people going about their daily lives and to effectively stop a nation and then start shooting than it is to remove such filth from the earth with one clean, quick shot.
Australians haven’t got the grit and moral conviction to be able to judge between the relative moral values of different religions and cultures. On the contrary we are ashamed of our Anglo / western heritage, we fawn and scrape before people who cling to paranoid arrogance and idolise violence. We are our own worst enemies and we will hand our futures to tyrants on a plate. We are cowards who would rather put their own selfish deluded value systems ahead of the futures of our very own children.
If you really want to reach out to a Muslim, then don’t join with them in pretending that their moribund and primitive faith is superior to ours.

Yeah .. and what about that guy in Tassie – you know that blonde dude a few years ago who killed 21 people … women and children … he had a suite of rifles. oh wait. hang on. He wasn’t muslim. He was anglo Australian. i don’t know what his religion is … it wasn’t mentioned – probably because he was a blonde dude. Those blonde australians – they should be controlled, send ’em back! they are ruining australia. And huddle street … remember that one where 7 people were killed. shot dead. by an army officer of all people. wait … i don’t think he was muslim either. His surname is Knight. I cannot recall the media mentioning his religion but his nose was prominent. All army officers, people with the surname Knight … And people with big noses … just be careful they also are very, very dangerous and should be locked up. Stupid arguments right?
December 18, 2014
Thank you, anum, for demonstrating that you are master of the “tu quoque” fallacy.
— Uh? Tu quoque? What’s that?
Here it is in plain English:
— Johnny, my darling, you mustn’t do poohs in Mommy’s handbag.
— But, mommy, Tommy does wee-wees in Daddy’s beer!
December 18, 2014
Amum, Was he crazy? Yes. Did he kill people in the name of his religion. No. Was he after world domination for his religion? No. Was he sending a message to the West saying we are all wrong and Islam is right? No. Are you and your fellow “peace loving muslims” out on the streets protesting against islamic extremism? No. Do YOU sit idly by and let this happen around the world in the name of islam? Yes.

Aldo Sterone is the pseudonym of an Algerian who lives in the UK and keeps a blog in French. On occasion of the Sydney terror attack, however, he wrote his blog in English. He doesn’t think much of the performance of the Australian police. Here is an excerpt of what he wrote:
“The terrorist spent hours walking in front of the window. Many people watching the live stream online were able to see him. Yet, the police didn’t try to take him out. It would have been easy to shot him through the window and free the hostages. The method is not politically correct and many would have complained about excessive usage of force but at least two hostages would have been alive now. Rather than taking the initiative of action, the police waited until the situation gotten of hands and innocent lives were lost.”

Sorry but the whole thing was a fiasco and it is apparent as more details emerge. The police leadership dropped the ball. Well done to the lads at the front, but the brass really screwed up. The gunman should not have been allowed to fire the first shot. The cafe should have been stormed at 2am as the last batch of hostages escaped. The whole thing ended in fiasco. What scares me is the media is only eulogizing Scipione and co. This is no time for eulogies. Also the Gunman’s wife is still out on bail. This reeks of the Holsworthy terror plot, they said they would beef up security at army bases and conduct a ‘review’. The result of this review?? More unarmed private guards who harass soldiers for I.D. Time to wake up.
December 17, 2014
Glad SOMEBODY is calling this like it is – the way the fawning media have portrayed this episode is gutless and a grave disservice to Australia.
Our country is strangled by political correctness and leftist apologists who would have us apologizing for being alive. We need to see and recognize this evil for what it is and call it out.
December 17, 2014
I’d like to see a Muslim Twitter hashtag #i’llridewithyounon-believersandinfidels…..to make all us non Muslim folk feel safe!
December 18, 2014
Even better, Lethal – perhaps all the flouncing, bleeding-heart do-gooder leftards in this country who come up with useless, platitudinous rubbish like this want might like to actually do something useful and serious in the face of murderous Islamic action. If so, perhaps they could all go to Pakistan and start a new twitter campaign there for all the locals, children particularly, who are understandably terrified of Taliban tyrants, murderers and thugs. They could call it # I’ll hide with you.

Nobody has the right to incite that any one or any group should be raped, pillaged or subjugated. Stop, listen, consider then deliver your thoughts and actions with compassion.

This is exactly what I’ve been saying..lone wolf? they have an army and the army is called Islam Lone Wolf Battalion.
We are at war, and have been for a long time..everyone knows it except the Governments and the hippies.
December 17, 2014
Fear is a great motivator. To afford blame is also unacceptable. To demonize the gunman, or anyone else in this matter (or any other issue for that matter) is also unacceptable.
At no time have we the public been informed of whether the two who died were shot by the gunman or by the police.
Personally, and as a Freelance Journalist and Social Justice/Human Rights Activist, this story needs to unfold TRUTHFULLY.
Everyone including from the PM down, has been responsible for this seige. So is the media and the types of violent news reports, shows on TV. How to manipulate and control the general unsuspecting public by playing
on their subconscious mind! Awareness of how the world is run is a necessary obligation for each and every person these days.
The dialogue over the past year, particularly from the PM and from other MPs has been destructive and primarily, without expanding explicitly, has contributed to inciting unrest and fear in not only the Muslim community
here in Sydney, but also in the other ‘religions’ if you will, and in those others who are not necessarily aware, wholistic and who are evolved and conscious enough to understand, or see through the whole. Or those who do not have a spiritual, religious, or philosophical understanding.
Consciousness is not just the hole as it were, in the donut, nor is it just the donut – it is the hole and the donut and the area – cosmic – all around. Nothing, nothing happens in a vacuum.
Looking for and using blame is not healthy! Use less rhetoric and find the Truth!
December 17, 2014
That was honestly the biggest load of waffle I’ve ever bothered to read. And you actually ended up saying absolutely nothing at all…well done. *rolls eyes.
December 17, 2014
Sally777 says “Everyone including from the PM down, has been responsible for this siege”. No, Sally, you are wrong. There was only one person responsible for the Sydney siege – the scumbag muslim nutter who burst in there with a shotgun, with Islamic flags and slogans and a determination to commit an atrocity in the name of his foul religion. Your typical lefty bleating about how everybody else is responsible for the actions of a devout muslim is indicative of the great scourge that afflicts our society today – the scourge of islamic denial, whereby pathetic attempts are made by people like you to avoid and deny the simple truth of the matter which is this: muslims attack and kill in the name of their religion. They always have, right from the earliest moments of islam – and they always will. You may have noticed that other Islamic scumbags in Pakistan killed over 100 school children just as the Sydney episode was concluding. Was Tony Abbott responsible for that, too? Get a grip on reality, Sally, and confront the sad, daunting reality that, as long as there are muslims in Australia, Australians will be attacked by muslims. On that you can bet your very last cent.
December 26, 2014
Sally 777, What really is unacceptable and unhealthy is bailing up innocent, civilized people and holding them hostage with a gun for the sake of Muslim slogans. It is also barbaric, barbaric, barbaric. That is the Truth. All else is smoke and mirrors. You are looking in the wrong direction.

How Our Lady Granted Victory at Lepanto
The Battle of Lepanto, October 7, 1571.
In times of acute danger and hardship, we must always fly into the arms of the most powerful Mother of God and turn to the recitation of the Rosary. The Battle of Lepanto is a great lesson of confidence for us today.
When Saint Pius V ascended to Saint Peter’s throne, Christendom faced perils perhaps unequaled in its history of continual conflict, not the least of which came from the agitated and violent followers of Mohammed.
All the information and intelligence that Pope Pius V had been gathering indicated that the Ottoman juggernaut was about to roll across the Mediterranean and adjacent lands, spearheaded by the Turkish fleet, with Italy and Rome as one of its targets. No nation could stand up to the marauding infidels and the candidates for an alliance were few.
Northern Europe had risen up in armed rebellion against the Church with France deeply involved in the conflict, while much of Europe felt that neutrality was the best policy to follow after the Turks occupied a large chunk of its land in the Danube River Valley.
Only Spain and Venice had the resources to resist, and they hated each other along with deep mistrust. Yet Saint Pius — calling down divine grace as only a man of prayer could — forged an alliance with them as the core of an organized fleet of over 200 galleys. With his considerable tact and diplomatic skills, he not only kept them unified, but he convinced them to attack the enveloping menace.
Our Lady of Guadalupe
Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The Archbishop of Mexico had an exact copy of the Holy Image of Guadalupe sent to King Philip II, who in turn gave it to Andrea Doria, one of the three principal admirals of the fleet, who placed it in his cabin. When the Armada went from file to line abreast and attacked on the morning of October 7, 1571 the blue standard of Our Lady of Guadalupe was also flying from the masthead of Don Juan’s flagship. But Our Lady’s presence that day was more acutely felt through the Holy Rosary.
Our Lady of the Rosary
Pope Pius V, a Dominican prelate before his elevation, did what Catholics have always done in times of acute danger: fly into the arms of the most powerful Mother of God. As a follower of Saint Dominic, he knew the most effective means of imploring her help was through the recitation of the Holy Rosary. He ordered all monasteries and convents in Rome to increase their prayers for the impending battle and organized rosary processions in which he, as sick as he was, participated.
As the Christian fleet sailed toward the great clash of cultures, Mass was celebrated and the rosary recited daily on each vessel. This heartfelt request for divine assistance resulted in a crushing defeat of the Ottomans at Lepanto that ended their dominance in the Mediterranean.
To celebrate Our Lady’s intercession, the Church has designated October 7 as the Feast of the Holy Rosary and Saint Pius V added Help of Christians (Auxilium Christianorum) to the Litany of Our Lady (Loreto). Similar acknowledgement to the Blessed Virgin’s intercession through the rosary were made when John Sobieski forced the Turks to lift the Siege of Vienna in 1683 and after the victory of Prince Eugene of Savoy at Temesvar in his successful campaign to remove the Ottomans from Europe in the next century.
While the din of battle gradually diminished at the bloody waters off Lepanto, Saint Pius V was going over accounts in the papal apartments with Bartolo Busotti, his treasurer. Suddenly, he arose with his face radiant with joy and announced, “Let us go and thank God, for this moment our fleet has defeated the Turks.” Human agency brought news to Rome two weeks later.
Our Lady of Fatima
The message of Our Lady of Fatima is a call to conversion. But will the world listen?
“Finally my Immaculate Heart will triumph!”
Some may object to the historical paradigm, not that it is inappropriate, but that it happened a long time ago. Yet, the Blessed Virgin made another historical visit to earth just ninety years ago, bringing roughly the same message to a larger distressed population. As Our Lady of the Rosary, she appeared six times at Fatima in Portugal to three related children, two of whom have been beatified.
In essence, she warned that God was terribly offended by the sins of mankind and unless that sinfulness subsided the world as a consequence would face horrible chastisements. Immediately following, we had a bloody conclusion to World War I, then six years of the most depraved slaughter of World War II and continual wars, atrocities and mutilations ever since instigated by two of the enemies of Western Civilization: Communism (as Our Lady predicted) and Islam. Sinfulness has not abated, but only increased, especially in the areas of family life, immoral fashions and lewd entertainment.
Our Lady will intervene once again in history, either to help her suffering children who have recourse to her or to bring down the wrath of God on those who refuse to pray, make sacrifices and stop offending Him. During the third apparition she announced the ultimate result, “Finally my Immaculate Heart will triumph!”
Join the Public Square Rosary Crusade
Amen. Merry Christmas to all,
December 17, 2014
Monica,
May I commend you on a most beautiful treatise on Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. As always in difficult times but especially when faced with the mohammedan scourge, we should have frequent recourse to the holy rosary. Padre Pio, the legendary Franciscan, was never without his rosary – which he referred to as “his weapon”. He was well known to pray more than 30 rosaries in an average morning.
December 17, 2014
You are an idiot Bernard. Just because you can put some words on a page dies not make you as smart or logical as you think you are. This article is nothing going more than pathetic fearmongering.
December 17, 2014
Sorry Richard but the majority of Australians disagree with you.
December 17, 2014
Majority? No. But a bunch of villagers with pitchforks and fire do get noticed. The rest are just trying to get on with life.
December 17, 2014
Ah, Max! So you’re one of those sorts of people who studiously keep focussed on the ground at your feet, lest you run the risk of making inconvenient eye contact with a real human being. Safe tactic, that, mate – it means you can maintain your fictional little existence in your fictional little world where nothing bad ever happens. Which means you can simply ignore reality by repeating the pathetic-but-comforting mantra “Move along citizens – there’s nothing to see here!”. All of this is done to ensure you remain happily in your comfort zone, snoozily getting on with life. What are the murders of a couple of Australians in Sydney to Max? Only an irritant while he “… gets on with life”.
December 18, 2014
Always enjoy you comments Jim. And yes max you read correctly, majority is exactly what I said. Obviously you are in the minority of Australians who disagree and choose to turn a blind eye to the problem at hand.
December 17, 2014
Richard, not only do most of Australians disagree with you but the history of Islam will stand as witness that it is not Bernard ( Intelligence Major, and 3 time Vet of the second Gulf War where he served in the highest American intelligence HQ ) who is an idiot but you and the other multicultural bleeding hearts who are deluded. I do agree that not everyone in Islam is a terrorist but unfortunately in the last 10 years all the terrorists seem to be coming from Islam.
December 17, 2014
Oh so Baird said we’d seen this coming? In which case why did he allow it to happen?
Oh so media weren’t rolling out the ‘lone wolf’ go back to sleep message?
Ah I must have missed all the reports that this was Islamic State at work?
Islamic leaders have condemned the violence? Well I agree Bernard was a bit wide of the mark here but when he wrote this was the case. Nevertheless this is a bit irrelevant as what Islamic leaders really need to do is not condemn particular instances of jihad but acknowledge and denounce the source from which it springs which that which every Muslim drinks, viz. the life and behaviour of their prophet and their belief that he and his behaviours are to be admired and replicated as the perfect example of behaviour for all people for all time. Fat chance of that and not having your neck smitten.
The Islamic community is the victim. Kochie and his partner and all the other media are working ovetime to draw this conclusion.
So where, apart from the penultimate point, was Bernard off the mark and hence to be deemed an idiot.
December 17, 2014
I’m in total agreement. The government for some stupid reason will not do anything about the Muslim situation. If the cafe siege is not a wake up call to every decent Australian to join your local Defence Legue and get our voices together as one, then we are as good as gone. Do people not realise, your children will grow up in a world of Sharia law that’s if they are allowed to get older. Any non believer of Allah will cease to exist. Like what was said before, they all read the same book, they all donate to terrorism, they are ALL part of Allah’s army……..
Ignore at your own peril………
December 17, 2014
Enough of the references to “mental”, “deranged” etc of this man. He wasn’t mad, he was a common or garden narcissistic psychopath of the type that Islam both produces and attracts in their millions. Superior to everyone else, wrong if you don’t absolutely follow their interpretation of the creed, entitled to do anything they like
and absolved of any personal responsibility because of the “higher authority” notion.
You can fight back to a certain extent. You can turn off Kochie and Ch 7 for a while or watch it but make sure you don’t buy any of the advertised products. Don’t go to any Port Adelaide games. Send a simple email to Ch 7 telling them. Kerry Stokes will listen to the bottom line. The ABC doesn’t care and it’s up the Coalition to defund it.
Keep up the good work, Bernard

The other aspect to that siege is the now crippling mentality from within the police hierarchy that effectively nobbles the actions of first response police arriving within minutes at a siege. According to reports, up to three police motorcyclists arrived within a few short minutes of that siege taking effect. What did they do? They followed standard 21st Century police procedure for sieges and did not enter the premises, but stood back and ‘assessed’ the situation – no heroes from doing that! Meanwhile, the baddie, who would have been in a frenzy ordering his hostages about, could have been taken completely by surprise by officers entering via the front and rear entrances, if unlocked, with the clear intention of shooting to kill the offender. As an ex-cop that is what we used to be trained to do – not stand back and let events take over! From the moment those officers stood back assessing the situation the hostage taker was in control and it took the actions of two individuals within that café some 16 hours later to bring the whole thing to a close. Those two people killed may have been alive today if the first police on the scene had entered that building and had not allowed things to get out of control. Today’s police officers place their own safety as a priority in situations like this, so when it happens again, and it will, be prepared to defend yourself because the police won’t! Well not in NSW at least!

Nemesis,
The ‘John Wayne’ approach to hostage situations only works on the big screen. The first responders have no idea what the situation is inside. The containment and negotiation approach is not only effective and minimizes loss of life but it secures the scene. Your ‘hindsight’ assessment of the situation would be a wonderful gift to first responders but they do not have it.

A great article Bernie! Nailed it perfectly! Read it over on the Pickering Post. Well done!
December 17, 2014
Your major points are importantly correct. If there are any bonafides within their cult I’d expect to see a march of protest against violence and solidarity for Australia by muslims….it’s absence only reinforces their contempt. The latest massacre in Pakistan, of innocent children, should serve as a pivot point by Western governments against this evil.
A solution imposed by Ataturk in Turkey ~1920 split the legal system from the religion, removed the concept of the caliphate and mufti’s,and imams were appointed by the government. Religious instruction was taken over by the Education system. These controls ensured islam was managed by government and removed the potential for radicalisation. Ataturk also discouraged the wearing of religious attire in public. The outcome was a Westernisation an modernisation of Turkey.

It’s just awful that in Australia the most peaceful land of peace is created such tyranny and violence!
Article is too vague and lacks essentially causes of what is happening. I think that the reason lies much deeper! Ask a few questions: why was this done? Who needs it and profitable? What is behind this terrorist act? What were the requirements and why they were not announced?
I’ll try to put forward a hypothesis answers to the questions!
I am not a professional in the knowledge of Islam, but one thing I know that these people do not do anything with the blame. Most likely were the prerequisites for this, which is put forward demands, requests, but they were not heard. This is most likely due to the fact that Australia has sent to the Middle East of its soldiers.
What impressed me most that Tony Abbott did not go with him to negotiate! As a patriot of his country he should exchange itself on all the hostages and prevent bloodshed Australian citizens. He acted like a coward and a politician that is led by those whose policy is aggressive and false from beginning to end.
For all the world peace we must withdraw troops from foreign countries and not get involved in politics of other countries. Then the world will be all over the world! Yes, interest will suffer the global elite that imposes on us a false policy to support us fake facts, the reasons for the invasion of another country, in order to enrich and enslavement of peoples. But peace and tranquility in the world is worth it to stop the war and terrorism.
Another idea haunts me, knowing dirty western methods, arguments, and the desire to get into Iran, I think that this terrorist was not in vain it is with Iran. Us and the world that what the West once again trying to impose, manipulate our opinion …
condolences to the victims and their families …

Lara – you haven’t got a clue. First point: Australia is a target of islam, simply because it is not islamic. That applies to every other Western country as well. The murderous hordes of jihardis – including those within Australia such as yesterday’s Sydney fruit loop – will attack and kill anyone who does not follow their religion – including the citizens of countries who have never sent military forces to Iraq or Afghanistan. Second point: if Australian military deployments have been the cause of scumbag jihardis attacking us, then we became a target back in 1999 when we were the main force within the INTERFET deployment to East Timor – you know, the operation that helped East Timor to become free. Why? Because muslim hard-liners believe that ANY muslim country that is freed of the scourge of islam is a country that must be recaptured down the line. That includes Spain and East Timor. Muslim hard-liners believe that ANY country which helped East Timor throw off the crushing yoke of islam is an enemy of islam – that, of course, includes Australia. Are you saying that Australia should not have helped East Timor? Because I believe what we did in East Timor was one of the most noble things Australia has ever done. Lara, people like you need to grow a bit of backbone and stop cowering under your blankets. It’s a big, bad world out there, Lara – and muslims are determined to make all the world one huge, single Islamic caliphate. Time to wake up and smell the cordite, I think.
December 17, 2014
Nice one Jim, and I always believed that all Australians were complacent morons, sitting on their lounge chairs swallowing large doses of bullshit from the likes of Koshie and politicians who are more interested in votes from the Islamic communities. Keep it coming!
December 17, 2014
Lara I see English is your second language and I’m guessing you were not born in Australia?
December 17, 2014
Lara,
There can be no world-peace without the Prince of Peace; there won’t be world peace until every mohammedan converts from their perverse false religion to the One, True Faith outside of which there is no salvation.
December 16, 2014
Ive watched in horror as my beautiful Australia us being drowned in its own kindess to people who dont know from kindness. I support a referendum to deport these thugs. No they are not all thugs but it has to start somewhere. Not all Muslems are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslems. Has anyone asked our few remaining Holocaust survivors how they feel about these footsteps toward another predictable war against humanity? I suggest that every Australian who wants to continue living in the best most beautiful country on earth support Israel because that is the root of peace. Wishing all of you a happy and PEACEFUL holiday season.
December 16, 2014
Another major problem we face is a lack of basic education. Most Australians know next to nothing about the legendary Don Pelayo, the many mohammedan sieges of Vienna, the assistance of Our Lady of the Rosary at the Great Battle Lepanto etc etc., and hence have been very susceptible to the audacious lie that “islam means peace” or that “islam is the religion of peace” – still being taught in many Australian schools and universities.
December 16, 2014
To make a statement like that i suggest you pick up a Quran and read it for yourself
December 17, 2014
Yumma says we should pick up the Koran and read it. Good idea! Let’s see – where shall I begin?
Qur’an 2:191 “…kill the disbelievers wherever we find them”
Qur’an 2:193 “And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah”
Qur’an 3:56 “As for those disbelieving infidels, I will punish them with a terrible agony in this world and the next. They have no one to help or save them.”
Qur’an 4.89 They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah’s way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.
Qur’an 4:101 “The unbelievers (non-Muslims) are your inveterate foe.”
Qur’an 5:51 “Muslims, do not make friends with any but your own people.”
Qur’an 5:72 “They are surely infidels who say; ‘God is the Christ, the Messiah, the son of Mary.”
Qur’an 8:7 “Allah wished to confirm the truth by His words: ‘Wipe the infidels (non-Muslims) out to the last.’”
Qur’an 8:12 “Your Lord inspired the angels with the message: ‘I will terrorize the unbelievers. Therefore smite them on their necks and every joint and incapacitate them. Strike off their heads and cut off each of their fingers and toes.”
Qur’an 8:39 “So, fight them till all opposition ends and the only religion is Islam.”
Qur’an 8:55 Surely the vilest of animals in Allah’s sight are those who disbelieve.
Qur’an 8:58 “If you apprehend treachery from any group on the part of a people (with whom you have a treaty), retaliate by breaking off (relations) with them. The infidels should not think they can bypass (Islamic law or the punishment of Allah). Surely they cannot escape.”
Qur’an 8:59 “The infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them. They are your enemy and Allah’s enemy.”
Qur’an 8:60 “Prepare against them (non-Muslims) whatever arms and cavalry you can muster that you may strike terror in the enemies of Allah (non-Muslims), and others besides them not known to you. Whatever you spend in Allah’s Cause will be repaid in full, and no wrong will be done to you.”
Qur’an 8:71 And if they intend to act unfaithfully towards you, so indeed they acted unfaithfully towards Allah before, but He GAVE YOU MASTERY OVER THEM
Qur’an 9.29 Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.
Qur’an 9.30 And the Jews say: Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!
Qur’an 9:123 “murder them and treat them harshly”
Qur’an 22:19-22 “fight and slay the Pagans, seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem” “for them (the unbelievers) garments of fire shall be cut and there shall be poured over their heads boiling water whereby whatever is in their bowels and skin shall be dissolved and they will be punished with hooked iron rods”
Qur’an 48:13 Those who “believe not in Allah and His Messenger, He has prepared, for those who reject Allah, a Blazing Fire!”
Qur’an 47:4 “Strike off the heads of the disbelievers”; and after making a “wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives.”
That’s a ripper read, the Koran! More sex, blood and action than you’ll find even on SBS!
December 17, 2014
Yep…and if you want more, have a read of The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie. Abhorrent.
December 17, 2014
As a Christian living in the middle east, I’ve been forced to study some parts of qoran in school, have been forced to hear sermons coming of the mosques speakers, and watching occasionally programs explaining islam. I can only second people that are saying all violence and hate teaches are coming straight out of the text. (full stop)
December 17, 2014
Rory – islam certainly IS a religion of peace – and don’t you forget it! Trouble is – it wants a piece of Iraq, a piece of Syria, a piece of Europe, a piece of Australia, a ……
December 17, 2014
Brilliant.
December 16, 2014
We’re feeding ourselves to the sharks. I was appalled tonight on the 7.30 report – talking about the ‘hostage taker’ – what ever happened to the term ‘terrorist? It was all about negotiating, and his feelings and what he wanted. The most disturbing and sickening interview I’ve ever seen. They knew he was alone – we need to review our approach to these things if they have a clear shot.
December 16, 2014
Have a read of this and make up your own mind. This is their Holy Book, which drives their religion. If this doesn’t wake you up then you are already dead! http://www.noblequran.com/translation/
December 16, 2014
You’re first point was very well made but throughout the article it seemed more and more apparent that is was an attack on the islam religion – I go to your about section and see you are catholic.
The fact is he was a lone wolf trying to get attention, it was a very amateur setup, not organised at all.
The islamic community also suffer from this and will get abused by people who do not know the difference between these madmen and other islamic people.
I am not catholic or islamic, and trying to offer a fresh perspective.
I agree that it should have been predicted way back and he should have never gotten bail, it is a terrible tragedy that action wasn’t taken to uncover who was behind the Facebook page and website sooner, simply shutting it down was not good enough and cost two innocent lives.
Hopefully this will provoke some more intelligent discussion and feel free to criticise anything I have stated above.
December 16, 2014
Lets do what the Swiss do and have a referendum on whether to deport all these radicals. I’ am sure we will gather 100,000 plus signatures to debate the deportation of the parasites in parliament. I dare say we will probably gather 5 million plus signatures. If not more! We have dropped the ball way to many times, this cafe siege was a fiasco. Already the media is seeing it as a platform to eulogize the deputy police commissioner. Spare me! This is no time for eulogies and not a time for appeasement. The Muslim community has alot to atone for. Funny that they invite Keysar Trad, another sneaky one, then again Kochie and the rest seem to reside in their ivory towers and are oblivious to the fire raging just outside their window. We also would be wise to bring some Israeli experts to train us in counter-terrorism.
December 16, 2014
Bernie, you are a breathe of fresh air. We need more people like you who understands that Islam is the true evil here. It is a doctrine of hate that gives its followers, a right to abuse, a right to kill, a right to take, a right to control, a right to enslave and or tax all other people on earth. It is an ideology for war, not peace and we have allowed the aggressor to enter and attack us from within. Even within the Quran, which is the most unholy book ever written, it tells the readers that Allah, their God is the greatest deceiver, yet they do not comprehend. They believe they hold the right to supremacy over the world in all earthly things, and in their Paradise one only finds foolishness for they lack all understanding of the One True God. Islam is evil and those who follow this ideology are bound to follow. You are right, this attack is just the beginning.
December 18, 2014
You say Islam gives people the right to kill, abuse, commit crimes etc. So does our western patriarchial society, it just doesn’t say it out loud!! Do some fact finding, there is at least 1 women killed every week by her partner in Aussie homes, and many thousands more abused – sexually, emotionally and physically daily..but are these offenders shown on TV, or given sentences? Not many! You need to look at the big picture, take a historical viewpoint re the 1,300 years of Christian-Muslim aggression – a battle for power and control. Read up on the history and you might learn something, eg. “America says it is being targeted because of its freedoms, quality of life, and immoral lifestyle. If that were so, why are Sweden, Denmark and Holland not being terrorized? They are just as free, their standard of living is equal, and even Americans find aspects of their lifestyle immoral.
Besides the 1,300-year history we have just outlined, managers-of-state know well why others are angry. ..terrorist training camps in Afghanistan were established by America’s CIA to train terrorists to do to capitalism’s competitors what was done to New York’s World Trade Center and the Pentagon. American bombs destroyed training camps that America built and, as America hunts down worldwide the still-active elements of the 35,000 terrorists trained in those camps, the War on Terrorism is killing terrorists that America trained.
December 16, 2014
Can we just remember that the first person to be killed on Australian soil in the name of ISIS was Muslim? There are many Muslim people seeking refuge in Australia from the likes of ISIS and the Taliban. This terrorist group seeks to instil fear in our community and tear it apart at the seams, we can’t let that happen.
December 16, 2014
Felicity, the problem is that there are many more muslims within Australia – either here as refugees or who barged their way in on the endless boats under the ALP and the Greens – who very much support ISIS, the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Some of them have travelled overseas to join Islamic forces – many others do all they can here within Australia to support those foul organisations and their murderous activities. Finally – note this: the islamic dirt bag who died in Sydney was not killed by ISIS or some other Islamic group – he died acting as their agent and their operative – he was waving their flag loudly and proudly, right until he was shot dead by the Police.
December 17, 2014
At the next world-wide outbreak of the Black Plague there will no doubt be many people seeking refuge in Australia. We can’t let the plague-stricken instil the fear of the plague in our community, can we? Of course not. It would tear it apart at the seams. So, we must welcome them with open arms, mustn’t we? Dead right. And I do mean DEAD right.
December 16, 2014
The Australian population needs to wake up real fast……….who is controlling our politians, to the point that they are willing to allow another foreign population of people with a totally different ideologies and laws of that of Australia and majority of the Western World being given this much sympathy and explanation over what has now been done by a “lone wolf” (my ass)……… this agenda seems to be happening in most Western countries, what I want to know is………..WHO IS CONTROLLING OUR GOVERNMENTS………….if what this moron has done prior, and this was an everyday Australian, that person would be sitting in jail, but somehow this guy being an islamic muslim is left to roam free. IF THE EVERYDAY AUSTRALIAN CITIZENS DOES NOT WAKE UP AND REALISE HOW DANGEROUS THESE ISLAMIC MUSLIM ARE AND HOW THEY INTEND TO TAKE OVER OUR COUNTRY AND ALL WESTERN COUNTRIES IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE, THEN WE ARE GONE………….OUR POLITIANS KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING ON AND THEY HAVE USED “POLITICAL CORRECTNESS: AND “RACISTS”,on most true Australian Citizens, TO ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO HAVE THIS MUCH POWER AND FURTHER THEIR AGENDA………and all that sympathy and garbage you hear from our Politicians and the media is just blantant propaganda, to confuse the issue of what is really going on.
December 16, 2014
i can’t help wondering….in the light of the fact that this perpetrator was an attention seeker Iranian reconvert, from Ashi- ism to Sunni , with a nasty dirt- smeared violent criminal record…. How much the environmental background and consequent emotional in stability and sense of social alienation drives extreme ” faith- based” retaliatory acts… .? Indeed, Pakistan is all things considered an amazingly ” Laissez- faire” set up, and to its cost, multiple deviant acts of criminality and revenge occur…. Because the Justice system lags behind the basic well- being and minimum safety and security requirements of the Advanced weaponry- technological assets , facilities , organisational strategies , comforts and material/ spiritual desires of the modern Time and Age!
I think we have to look again at how we deal ( whether punitively or leniently in giving multiple acts of sympathetic benefit of the doubt … And any pseudo – oblivious notion of consequences down the line of release of mentally ill and deviantly emotionally disturbed people back into society- on bail -without seeking to administer remedial psych- care counselling or keeping close monitoring of relationships, circumstances, activity and whereabouts tags to such people who are actually a possible ticking hazardous time bomb left to their own devices and deviant thinking, ways , mores, within society!
December 16, 2014
2 points:
1. Unfortunately many Catholics have been anaesthetised by the dreadful Vatican 2 lie that “the muslims together with us worship the one, merciful God”. This lie has been peddled by Pope Francis and most of our Bishops – including many so-called conservatives like Cardinal Pell.
2. The threat of a perverse, false religion like Islam needs to be put in perspective – given the hundreds of pre-born Australian babies that our murdered each and every day across NSW with no police protection and no media hype whatsoever.
December 16, 2014
Islam must be eradicated world wide. We will never have peace until islam is gone. You must rise up Australia and take back your country!
December 16, 2014
Ha! that’s hilarious. No peace until Islam is gone? How educational
December 17, 2014
Were so lucky there is someone in journalism understands the real islam the sharia islam thats trying to spread like a cancer. Not even the sunni muslims know whats coming for them. We need more people like you creating awareness.
December 16, 2014
I’ve been praying for the graces to not to demonise the Muslim religion & community.
The coverage on 7 and SKY has been gut-wrenching in its staunch defence and apologies to the Muslim community. I mean, sure, this isn’t necessarily representative and while it’s important for that to be acknowledged and stated firmly, I don’t think anyone is really suggesting that it is, or that all Muslims are latent terrorists. But the crapping on and cheering of this religion in the face of this event would be incomprehensible were it not for the increasingly manifest fact that western society has surrendered its reason and is generally rooted.
This is obviously not (at least yet) on the scale of past events like WW2 – obviously – but could you imagine the British press running around during the blitz, with London ablaze, saying ‘this is not representative of all German people and it’s really important that we realize that…’.
Democracy is a delicate flower and as GK Chesterton observed, when men stop believing in God they don’t believe in nothing, they’ll believe in anything.
December 16, 2014
You stated, ‘but could you imagine the British press running around during the blitz, with London ablaze, saying ‘this is not representative of all German people’
The British press didn’t but Neville Chamberlain was a Hitler apologist and how did that work out for Pom’s?
December 16, 2014
I would also include to the article this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4I_IXIs_1g how few hundreds of lone wolfs peacefully expressed their feelings about something that had nothing to do with Aussies
December 16, 2014
Why is it that after every crime or bad act committed by some member of the Islamic Community , the Media always, regularly , have some spokesman or official figure give an explanation and ” JUSTIFICATION ” of how sad and unfortunate it all was but that person was an exception , other Muslems are not like that.
WHY does the MEDIA give them OXYGEN ???
December 16, 2014
…because humanism says we are all good, all one big happy family…and we are all so nice, and we embrace everybody because we are all going to get on…and… we believe in the tooth fairy…
December 16, 2014
Can’t stand whining Kochie and his brunette offsider Natalie (nor the game show guy on Ten for that matter, the comedians on 9 at least don’t pontificate like them).
Kochie and Natalie were interviewing some guy who was pointing out there would be more of this just as there has been in Europe when Nat, who knew better, cut him off basically and disputing what he just said asserted no it would be better to view the ‘gunman’ as just a nutjob and implying that way we could all go back to sleep (after Kochie had advised following Abbott and Premier Baird’s advice not to ask questions about this matter).
Back to the point though: The camera briefly cut to the person being interviewed and his face showed a look of despair and exasperation at the pair of nincompoops demonstrating none so blind as they who will not see.
December 16, 2014
As usual you nail it Bernard. Keep it up. For what it is worth, my 2 pieces on this:

http://billmuehlenberg.com/2014/12/16/taqiyya-dhimmitude-and-sydney-terrorism/
Keep up your great work.
December 16, 2014
Thanks Bill. I can think of very few Australians who have such a great grasp of the problems we face from Islam than you, so your comment is greatly appreciated.
December 16, 2014
Australians are under attack from their own gov.
The gov are the ones forcing Islam into the land and at the same time disarming the people. Either Aussies get their guns back and carry them anyway to protect themselves from the scum who make laws and the scum from Islam or they deserve more of the same.
December 16, 2014
G’day Bernie,
I’ve posted this on Fb., with some ‘Please read’ comments.
I agree with you about all of this.
I am of the opinion that all Muslims should be forcibly repatriated, the selling of their mosques and the land on which they sit paying for for them being sent to the ISLAMIC-governed country of their choice.
We get the Christians out of those countries, if they so desire, and school them up to take over the Muslim businesses in Australia and other Christian countries.
December 16, 2014
My 2-cents: the problem with violence and attitude/actions toward woman in Islam (amongst other problems) is that these problems are indoctrinated; intrinsic to Islam sacred religious text. And so, justifiable by the perpetrator; in his own mind, his reasoning, even during carrying out the horror, he is justified and to be rewarded for his courage! Agree that the perpetrators are mostly the edge cases; the mentally unstable, the desperate, the depressed, the rouge, but with such a doctrine, it can be anybody who listens and obeys i.e. the brainwashed.
Worse, is the message of peace and love and tolerance, also indoctrinated in Islam!? So it keeps society and individuals in limbo. A complete Muslim should be in a state of bipolar. But ultimately it’s a wolf in sheep’s skin, light and darkness cannot coexist. The Moderate Muslim is half Muslim throwing out half his/her doctrine.
IMHO: The duty of lawmakers, in Australia and other novice-to-the-deception-of-Islamic-doctrine-societies is to be as wise as snakes when dealing with edge-cases. The crippling technicality of the law, here in our tolerant, well intentioned Australia, has to carry some blame for Sydney 15/16 December 2014. Again this is my opinion.
December 17, 2014
Sherif – Muslim? I believe you are having a two way bet with your comment. While I understand what you are getting at, Islam is not open to interpretation by its slaves – the Muslims. There can be no misinterpretation of the Qu’ran by a devout Muslim because to question the text is to bring a death fatwa upon one self. Even Islamic scholars must tread warily when interpreting Qu’ranic text. While I agree that some Muslims – given the misnomer of ‘moderate’, and in what other ‘religion’ do we have such a defining misnomer? do privately reject much of the Qu’ran, they are not game to reject the same publicly which is why we will never hear from them in any great numbers until we destroy the ‘nest’ that breeds the Muslim fundamentalist – the Islamic schools, madrassas and Mosques are the ‘nest’ that keeps Islam alive. Destroy the nest and Islam will ceases to function because the majority of Westernized Muslims will then be able to reject completely the Qu’ran and in public.
January 2, 2015
Considering that a woman is murdered in Australia every week by her former or current partner, why do you single out Islam’s treatment of women as a defining issue? We clearly have more problems at home with our treatment of women.
December 16, 2014
Sensational work Bernie. I have found it increasingly difficult and frustrating over the past 24 hours to listen to the media coverage on this issue for the reasons you have highlighted here.
December 16, 2014
These Muhammadans need to be removed from Australia. I don’t care how ‘Australian’ they claim to be. History testifies to the fact that as Muhammadans gain even a minority stake in a country, they soon overtake it. I will not be deceived by their taqiyya.
We must stand upon the Truth of Scripture and realise that a dog returns to its vomit.
December 17, 2014
Conversion of mohammedans to the One True Faith would be preferable than deportation. However, if you ask any Bishop what the Catholic Church is doing to help convert mohammedans from their dirty, false religion, you are likely to hear yet another repeat of that infamous Vatican 2 lie that “the muslims together with us worship the one, merciful God”.
December 17, 2014
Muslims and Christians hardly worship the one God. The God of the Bible is creator who was incarnate in Jesus and born of the virgin Mary. He is not the arbitrary despot of Islam. Very poor doctrine of God to think that the two very different conceptualisations have any relationship.
December 16, 2014
I am sickened by all the media coverage of the ‘poor muslim community’ which is overshadowing the atrocity that has been committed on Australian soil in the name of islam. The hostages who survived and the families of those who were killed should be our sole focus at this time. The criminal who committed this act of terrorism and members of the same religion should not even get a mention – at least not a sympathetic mention. Thank you Bernard for setting the record straight even if the majority of the do-good-feel-gooders will ignore and/or oppose your facts in order to elevate their own fantasy version of this event.
December 17, 2014
Couldn’t agree me! All islamics may not be extremists BUT almost all extremists are islamics. Doesn’t that tell us something about their upbringings? Thanks Bernad.
December 17, 2014
The ‘poor’ Muslim cry is a tendentious distortion. Muslims, like anybody else in Australia have it darn good. There is no systematic discrimination, and almost no practical discrimination at all, there is no persecution and no exclusion; all as is right in this country; those: Muslims and the post-modern, who claim there is are doing so for political and cultural advantage and as a rhetorical project and should be subject to debate and criticism; and a dose of fact. All the benefits Muslims have here are due to British legal and broad Western traditions rooted in the Bible and Christian faith and practice; if denied by most these days.
The ‘victim’ cry is a straw man manouvre ‘for effect’…but if the effect takes, then what benefits us all will be turned to only benefit Muslims…if you want that feeling now, go to Pakistan or Saudi Arabia.
December 16, 2014
We need to be looking at the laws of our land! With this guy’s criminal history why was he free? He should have been in jail or better still deported! He constantly committed crimes against our country even sinking so low as sending hateful letters to families of our fallen soldiers. What sort of message does this send to other extremists? You can do what you want with no repercussions, you won’t get deported no matter what you do. If they can’t or don’t want to respect our country and our laws SEND THEM HOME.
December 16, 2014
Sue,
Calling for muslims to respect our laws must be qualified – since plenty of our laws are not in accordance with the laws of God and require no respect whatsoever – e.g. permissive abortion laws, divorce laws etc etc.
December 16, 2014
Sue, what is it with do gooders, the media, our justice system? He never should have been allowed to be on bail as he was charged being an accessory to his wife’s murder last year PLUS 40 violent sex charges also, he was a deranged man who wrote horrible letters to UK families telling them how overjoyed he was that their sons got killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, they should have deported him straight away but no, the weak gutted female magistrate let him out on bail. She should be made accountable for yesterday’s mayhem. Deport ALL of them, we Aussies don’t want Sharia law, we have good Aussie laws.
December 17, 2014
If a person commits an indictable offence while on bail, parole, a community correction order, good behaviour bond or other forms of ‘light touch’ punishment, then its remand in custody; the bond should be called in, parole cancelled and the community protected. Bail should also be required if the person has a pattern of violence in their criminal record. The mad Mullah would still be in jail, and two good people would be alive and with their families tonight.

You are dead right Bernard, the media and politicians are feeding us a load of BS in order to protect the Muslim community from criticism and to uphold the notion that multiculturalism is good for us. I hope Al Grassby is burning in Hell. Today’s Morning Mail also has an article about the ‘lone wolf’ myth. http://morningmail.org/lone-wolf/#comment-4572

There are no lone wolves in the jihad war
There are no lone wolves in the jihad war. There are millions of Muslim soldiers all over the world all following the same playbook – the Quran – and the same ideology – Islam.
But the media won’t ever tell you that. It wouldn’t fit in with their pro-jihad propaganda offensive. – See more at: http://pamelageller.com/2014/12/pamela-geller-wnd-weekly-column-there-are-no-lone-wolves-in-the-jihad-war.html/#sthash.YtOImJji.dpuf

I think you have hit the nail on the head. The similarities between Islam and Christianity have been almost erased by this kind of crime! the erosion of spirituality inherent in the politicisation of Islam will drive the faiths apart as we’ve never seen it.
Years ago – Muslims and Christians in countries which were moderate – eg Syria and Egypt at the time – would often share Christmas between them as highlighting whats so complementary between the faiths. But thats been washed away by a devious Wahabism and a plethora of cults which have drawn Islam into a hardened and solidified stasis. Christians like us in free countries where faiths CAN intermingle and even inter-marry need to reclaim the friendship and confluence of two of the world’s great faiths.
Incidents like this CANT be allowed to drive further the balkanisation of our religious cultures.

Neil,
Your comment about Christians and Muslims in Egypt living harmoniously is not accurate. I worked in Egypt and there were attacks on Christians, particularly converts from Islam, all the time. I, too, was offered a choice between jail and leaving the country merely because I questioned their “prophet’s” prophethood. What was interesting was that every Thursday after work I’d drink a beer with my Muslim boss and have open talks. In the end it was he who informed the religious police about me.

Interfaith palsywalsy sentiment seems good but it is naive in its understanding of true Christianity and Islam.
As a true, not nominal, Christian I can say that I love Moslems. They are created in God’s image as is all humanity. However, I must say that as a true Christian I loathe Islam. It is a supremacist ideology which has world domination as its ultimate goal.
Mohammed has spread Islam for over 1400 years by violence, yet true Christianity was spread throughout the world by the fruits of God’s Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5: 22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control)
My Jesus Christ says “I died for you” whereas Allah says “you die for me” (Quran 4:74).
My Jesus is not the same as the Isa of Islam because my Jesus, as God, is the creator of all things.
My God is not the same as the Allah of Islam because, incarnate as Jesus, my God willingly sacrificed his earthly life through crucifixion to save me for all eternity by his supernatural grace.
Where will you spend eternity. With Allah or with Jesus?

True. Christianity and Islam are poles apart on the person, nature and character of God. In fact you can’t get a more perfect antichristian religion than Islam. (1 John 2:22-23)

I am from Canada . I am 60 years old and I have lived in a peaceful environment where i never felt fear or real concern . I moved 2 years ago to a part of town which is becoming a Muslim enclave . I had no idea how bad it was until I moved there . Although there has been no violence there are women in full burqas and none of the Muslims ever smile or acknowledge your existence . Its like they live in an alternative world . Because of where I am living , and these lone wolf ! Ha ! attacks I find myself taking note of the people around me , at the train station , etc , just to be aware . I wouldnt say I am in fear , but I am aware in a way that I have never been in my whole life . I see a Muslim and I am not trusting .How do I know if that is not the person that will go off . I am not wrong in the possibility . If I gave you 100 apples and told you 5 were deadly poisonous would you eat one .
