When I say ‘this’, I mean draw the exact same pictures that are in Gender Queer: A memoir by Maia Kobabe and distribute them to children like Logan City Council has done since late 2019.
In a normal world, I generally wouldn’t need to issue warning reminders not to do ‘this’. But we don’t live in a normal world anymore.
We live in a proud and prideful world. A world of rainbows. And ever increasing acronyms. And gender reassignment surgery for confused children. And, well, a world in which government bureaucrats can distribute kiddy porn.
Logan City Council has five copies of Gender Queer in its libraries. Until last week, these books nestled the Batman comics and shared the same shelf as Tintin. They’ve done that for three years.
So it’s likely that Gender Queer and children and came into contact. A lot.
I guess that’s the whole point of putting Gender Queer on the same shelf as AstroBoy. And that really is a problem because Gender Queer looks like this:

That’s right.
If your child visited a Logan City Council library over the past three years looking to borrow Asterix the Gaul, there’s a good chance that your son or daughter was distracted by Gender Queer and its pornographic depiction of a lesbian scene between two confused women armed with a strap on harness and dildo.
Or the promotion of a pornographic studio that specialises in rape, forced or coerced sex, sexual degradation and public humiliation and slavery, brutality and sexual violence. That sounds healthy, especially when you throw the incestuous bondage in.
Or a picture of a naked man with an erection holding a boy’s penis. If that sounds illegal it’s probably because it is.
Such images are commonly called child pornography. You’d go to jail if you gave them to the neighbourhood children. But you don’t work for Logan City Council. On the other hand, if you did work for Logan City Council you’d be allowed to hand this stuff out like lollies and even check the residential details of the kids who seemed to like it.
Don’t worry though. I’m sure that it would never occur to actual paedophiles that public libraries pushing books like Gender Queer on kids might be a good hunting ground.
On a completely unrelated note, I just happened to browse the Queensland Criminal Code recently.
Did you know that there’s a section in there that says, and I quote:
An adult who engages in conduct in relation to a child, or a person who has care of a child, with intent to—
…; or
(b) expose, without legitimate reason, the child to any indecent matter, either in Queensland or elsewhere;
commits a crime.
Wow. Who’d have thunk it?
Now, I have some good news and some bad news.
The good news is that Logan City Council has taken Gender Queer off its library shelves. All it took was a couple of emails and some phone calls late last week.
I would like to thank Councillor Scott Bannan for his interest in this matter and his efforts to clean his council libraries up.
I would also like to thank Binary in Australia and MassResistance in America. In particular, MassResistance has removed Gender Queer from a number of libraries in the United States and I have been grateful for its help and advice in relation to this little battle with Logan City Council. We can all learn a lot from MassResistance about how to fight and win these battles. I encourage you all to follow both of these organisations.
This is an important win. As far as I know it is the first time this book has been challenged successfully anywhere in Australia. LGBT pride has been somewhat humbled because it goes hand in glove with the sexualisation of children, commonly known as grooming, paedophilia or pederasty. After all, there is a reason these books are written and published and placed on shelves for children in public libraries. None of this is an accident. It happens by design.
Now for the bad news: Logan City Council is keeping Gender Queer at this stage and will make it available, upon request, even to children.
Logan City Council staff have also refused to meet with me, claiming that there is nothing wrong with Gender Queer at all and that I am threatening. I would’ve thought having child pornography in your library was more of a threat, but hey, I’m not a librarian. What would I know about danger?
So Gender Queer is not gone yet. It means that this battle is not over. I guess that would’ve have been too easy. So we can all have more fun winning the hard way. And win we will.

This material is definitely pornographic in the worst meaning of that word. Why sexualise kids before they are ready? Only child molestors do that. Not anymore it seems.

Pushing pornographic stuff like this (I can’t bring myself to use the word “literature”) is nothing short of child abuse and must be illegal, not to mention immoral. It is unbelievable that politicians and people with authority condone and enable this sort of indoctrination of Australian kids. Where is their spine; have they no guts?? They make us utterly sick to our stomachs to think that they are so low as to kowtow to cretins who display this pornography to kids. There are three copies of this book in Sutherland Council libraries plus numerous other similar books. It is recommended for 16 up. But it will be easily available to younger kids.

Officially, if these books are being placed in the young children’s section, why isn’t this seen as carnal knowledge, and those responsible being charged. In the examples given, just pure filth; promoting also incest (no brother or sister either speaks like this to each other!) This is criminal – and I cannot help think of the likelihood now of complex pedophilia clusters having infiltrated much of our education and public service areas, (libraries; and literary places!) needed to promote this degenerate rubbish. It makes me completely ill what is being forced on innocent children. I will share this post, needed to make others aware of it. Thank you Bernard for continuing to be a strong moral voice in our morally decadent times. Clearly a plan to destroy the sacredness of the family, promotion of gay interest, yet another population agenda strategy.
