Defence Force drops disciplinary action against me

I’ve received some great news today.

I’ve been verbally informed that the Australian Defence Force has dropped all disciplinary action against me. I’m waiting for written confirmation but this is fantastic news.

I was charged a number of times with bringing the ADF into disrepute, failing to comply with a lawful general order and failing to obey a lawful command. The charges were for statements I have made that the:

  1. ADF should not place women in front line combat roles.
  2. ADF should not pay for sex-change operations.
  3. ADF should not participate in the Mardi Gras.
  4. ADF should understand the link between Islam and violence.

Even though it appears I have now been cleared of breaching the Australian Defence Force Discipline Act, I am still facing administrative action to terminate my commission for making the above statements.

I will continue to fight against this action.

Thank you for the overwhelming support and assistance. It is very humbling.

It is also a great privilege to hear from soldiers and officers all over Australia who are concerned about the direction of the Australian Defence Force. You may disagree with their views, but you cannot deny that they are patriots who have been prepared to don a uniform and fight for Australia.

  1. Dismissing you from the forces should be sufficient I do not think officers can be charged with stupidity as it would set a very bad precedent.
You are the very kind of officer that the ADF needs to rid itself of so that intelligent people can rise through the ranks and not face predgedice and mindless religion based bigotry.

The ADF is a modern service looking to the future not a vehicle for religious crusaders

    • Doug, obviously you do not understand what it is to be a Soldier.
The ADF needs to have a hard look at itself, letting those who have a mental disorder into the top brass is not progressive, it makes a laughing stock of the ADF.
What amazes me is how we went from having Cosgrove to Morrison in such a short time. Promotions for political reasons and not for achievement is obviously what has happened. I am sure many a soldier would rather a Soldier who has experience and gained real respect be promoted to a high ranking position.

  2. The four statements that you made are ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON! And the sooner the ADF comes to its collective senses, the better. However, in this day and age of PC, I will not hold my breath.

  3. Fantastic news, Bernie. Such action should never have been contemplated. That’s one victory – now to the next!
