Wooley’s thinking

After the Manchester bombing, 60 Minutes reporter Charles Wooley wrote in The Australian:

Perhaps it’s time for rational people to start knocking on doors.

This was preceded by 900 words decrying Christianity and accompanied by an image of what appears to be Margaret Court with two evil looking crosses in the place of her eyes.

Charles Wooley also likened Christian martyrs to Islamic State jihadis.

If only Wooley did a little research before launching off on his emotional and irrational rant, he might have written something a little different.

Salman Abedi was the Muslim jihadi who carried out the Manchester attack. He took the lives of 22 others with him. By all rational moral standards his actions were heinous. But they were justified by Islamic teaching.

That explains a little about where Islam fits in with the world’s great ideas.

The day Wooley’s article was published just happened to be June 2. It is the anniversary of the death of the Catholic martyrs of Lyons, executed under the reign of Marcus Aurelius in 177AD.

As far as early Christian martyrs go, this mob was fairly stock standard. They didn’t blow themselves up. They didn’t protest or coerce others into their religious beliefs. They just died because they were Christian.

And the torments suffered were nothing special either. You can read a hundred other stories with a hundred other methods of execution. The martyrs of Lyon were simply beaten to death, or tortured with red hot irons until they expired.

In all, 48 were executed for their beliefs.

If they were vegetarians, Charles Wooley would probably laud them for their courage in the face of brutal totalitarian oppression. But because they were Christian, he compares them to the Islamic State.

And that brings me back to rational people.

We need them. I’m all for rational people knocking on doors. But there’s no reason without facts and truth. Wooley lacks the latter so he’s also off on the former.

So I hope he doesn’t go door-knocking anytime soon. He’ll just embarrass himself.

  1. You won’t be hearing anything about taqiyya (precautionary dissimulation to kaffirs) from Aunty Oz or the FakeNN anytime soon. They are sticking with the coverstory ‘Islam is the religion of peace’ meme and the ‘multiculturalism is our strength’ mantra. Now they are running the ‘no link between muslim refugees and terror’ script.

They have a lot of poster Muslims in place to work the meme and chant the mantra.

This BS is still smoking and strictly for the kaffirs – until of course Islam has the numbers. Then there won’t be anymore ‘religion of peace’ methane emissions. There will be sharia law, forced conversions and the jizzya – like there is in every other country where the Muslims have the numbers or decisive victory.

Meanwhile, Poland is running reality based program. They have recently enthroned Christ as the King of Poland and they are standing against the EU immigration/invasion policy for Europe.

Poland takes on Islam and the EU

And guess what – no more terrorist attacks.

Count on it, Farouk and the 4 wives don’t watch Aunty Oz. They stay home and concentrate on their religious duties which include another little Farouk and the family allowance (for all 4 wives and the children). Do the math. In one generation the existing demographic of this country will be Farouked.

The Political Class is just playing along nicey-nicey with the ‘Islam is a religion of peace’ meme until the inevitable. They’ll probably all have Eid al Fitr again this year at the Lodge. Disgusting.

Bloody Eid al Fitr 2017 ends evening June 26. More importantly June 26 is the feast day of St Pelagius who was martyred for the holy faith of Christ in Spain 925 A.D. then under Islamic occupation. The Spanish / Christian war of Reconquista lasted a thousand years. A Spanish (Visgothic) Christian, St Pelagius was taken hostage at Cordova, age 10 years and imprisoned for three years by the Moors. [Imprisonment of children – sadly this is a contemporary story]. St Pelagius refused to convert to Islam. Martyred for the faith at age 13 years. A saint for our time.

  2. My recent post to the ABC complaints’ department….

Thanks ABC for disseminating fake news (i.e. colonic material of a taurine provenance)…once again.

Was listening to the interview of the “hipster’ Muslim from the Melbourne mosque today. He said of the recent Somali terrorist killed the other day, something to the effect of, ‘This guy knows nothing about true Islam. After all, he wouldn’t be doing that during Ramadan.’

Of course, I could make the cheap point that, well he could have waited until AFTER Ramadan before he went off to get his 72 virgins (see al-Tirmidhi’s canonical hadith collection). No, I’ll make a far more perspicacious criticism of your abjectly lazy “journalism” (read, propaganda).

Quoting from Richard Bonney’s ‘Jihad: From Qur’an to bin Laden’, the guy’s taquiya is more than obvious: “The month of fasting of Ramadan was also perceived as a month of jihad, a month in which Allah grants military victories to His believers. The prophet gained two of his greatest victories, Badr in 2/624 and the reconquest of Mecca in 630, during the month of Ramadan.” (p. 63)

Dopes for not checking the FACTS, ABC!
