What’s missing?

This list of very important military, religious and cultural dates was recently provided to those working in the Royal Australian Navy.

What important date has the Navy decided is not worth mentioning?

If you can’t work it out, here are a couple of hints.

It’s not Ramadan. The Navy is all over that. But it is a religious date and it’s so important that every Australian state recognises it with more than one public holiday…

  1. Good Friday?

Why on earth does the Navy or Defence department recognise Ramadan?

In any case, I seriously doubt that there would be more than a hundred or two Muslims in the whole Australian navy, army and air force.

And don’t get me started on Reconciliation Week (a political hot potato, if there is one) and International UN Peacekeepers Day, neither of which is relevant to Defence.

Australian Defence has been well and truly politicised. I expect they’ll be endorsing the Greens or Labor at the next federal election.

    • There shouldn’t be any, they HATE us!

      Quran 5:51
O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

      Quran 3:28
Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers. Whoso doeth that hath no connection with Allah unless (it be) that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking (as it were) security. Allah biddeth you beware (only) of Himself. Unto Allah is the journeying.

      Quran 4:74
Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward.

      Quran 8:39
And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah . And if they cease – then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do.

      You ask why?

Because our Government is so stupid they can’t see the thin edge of the wedge for the votes!

  2. I’m highly surprised there was no mention of Chocolate Egg Frenzy Day and Coloured Tinfoil Wrapping Safety Awareness Week.

The Rainbow RAN is normally pretty big on special occasions like that.

  3. Is this the same navy that expects to defend Australia’s 60,000 km of coastline with petrol driven subs when the world is going nuclear? Say no more!
